I can’t believe it’s already August! I have not consumed nearly enough fruity, tiki-hut worthy cocktails so I decided to whip up a yummy zombie cocktail on this sunny day. It’s a little sour and a little sweet, and who am I kidding I made it mostly because it’s pretty and pink. Eat your heart out Duckie.
2 1/4 oz gold rum
1 1/2 oz pink grapefruit juice
1 1/4 oz lime juice
3/4 oz simple syrup (boil 1/2 cup water & 1/2 sugar, simmer until sugar is dissolved, cool)
1 splash grenadine
1 maraschino cherry
Fill a shaker with ice. Add the rum, juices and simple syrup. Pour the grenadine into a glass then add the shaker contents and enough ice to fill the glass. Garnish with cherry. I got this fabulous drink recipe from Rachael Ray. Enjoy!
