Happy New Year ya’ll! Is anyone starting off 2019 with any resolutions? I almost NEVER do, but alas – I have to QUIT smoking (again) – and thought what better time than now? It’s a gross habit that I’ve struggled with for years, and am finally ready to put in the past.
So it was with some cosmic timing that I was reached out to so I could review the cariPRO Ultrasonic electric toothbrush. With putting the ciggies to bed, it was great timing to actually make my oral health a priority.
I have had a rocky road with my tooth-care (is that a word?) as I’ve definitely skipped some dental check-ups and have sensitive teeth, poor enamel, and deep grooves – which have led me to have more fillings than I care to divulge. My dentist has literally told me “it looks like you’re completely missing these back teeth when you brush.” WOOPS! Man, I feel like I’m confessing a lot here about the inside of my mouth. LOL. But really, I’m notoriously bad at preventive self-care, which is just ridiculous. I need healthy teeth to eat meatloaf and tacos, so when they asked me to review – I thought what the hell, let’s give this a go.
Here’s me after un-boxing this bad boy ready to get to cleaning! Yeah baby!
I had used an electric toothbrush previously that will remain nameless, but it was SO aggressive – it was like having a sledgehammer in my mouth. I couldn’t stand it. So I quickly gave up. When I saw this handy-dandy toothbrush had a “sensitive” setting I thought okkkaaaayyyyyyy now, maybe that’s what I need.
I loved all the settings on the toothbrush. I mean, a massage setting? Who knew that felt pretty awesome on your gums? Honestly, every morning I feel like I just got back from the dentist – like that weird run your tongue over your teeth and feel insanely smooth and clean feel? Yeah, got it every day now. BOOM. Here’s all the settings the brush comes with – and yep – sensitive is my fave:
Here’s me trying to look minimally awkward while taking a picture of myself brushing my teeth. It’s harder than you think. Seriously, give it a go. You should see my blooper outtakes. 😀
