spicy bloody mary

There is nothing I like more than a spicy, strong bloody mary to kick off a lovely weekend. The recipe below is my go-to for those…let’s say, head hurt-y mornings. The flavor is bold, tangy and as spicy as you want it to be – oh and throwing a piece of bacon in there wouldn’t hurt either. Mmmmm…bacon.

your favorite bloody mary mix or tomato juice
2 shots of vodka (the limited edition Chicago Absolute vodka that is olive & rosemary infused is PERFECT!)
couple shakes of tabasco
dash of A1 steaksauce sauce
1/4 of a light beer
pinch of salt & pepper
for garnish: fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, celery


Pour vodka over ice and top with bloody mary mix, leaving room for beer. Top off with steak sauce (just a dash will do ya for some zing!), tobasco for some heat, the salt & pepper as well as the beer. Stir really well and adjust anything to taste depending on how spicy you want it. Top with whatever garnishes you’d like but mozzarella and sweet cherry tomatoes are my favorite! Enjoy!
